Beeline Woodenware

What it is

Beeline Woodenware (legal footer name Beeline Apiaries & Woodenware) is a first-party U.S. beehive woodenware manufacturer and beekeeping-supply shop headquartered in Mendon, Michigan, with a second branch in Rochester, Washington. Its official online shop (beelinewoodenware.com) sells Beeline-built hive bodies and supers, frames and foundation, hive, starter, and expansion kits, bottom boards and covers, its own “Protecter” protective clothing, smokers and hive tools, feed and colony-maintenance supplies, extracting and bottling gear, and spring nucs and packages. Official About copy says: “At Beeline, we manufacture superior woodenware. Built of Eastern White Pine or Ponderosa Pine, our beehives challenge the best while providing them at an affordable price.” The same page dates the business to 2003 in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, when it began in Jonathan Showalter’s garage and basement. It moved to Bedford, Pennsylvania in 2007, opened the Washington branch in early 2012, and relocated the eastern branch to southwestern Michigan late in 2012. This listing is for the hive/woodenware maker and gear shop with an official catalog URL, not a honey-only apiary and not a county club.

Who it’s for

Hobby, sideline, and commercial beekeepers who want factory-direct pine woodenware (deeps, 3/4 and medium supers, shallows, and 5-, 8-, and 10-frame nuc sizes in commercial or mill-run grade, sold unassembled, assembled, painted, or wax/copper-dipped) ordered from beelinewoodenware.com. It also suits buyers near Mendon, MI or Rochester, WA who can collect at a branch for the printed 10% pickup discount, and commercial operations that want quantity pricing or a custom brand stamp on every box. Not a membership club hall and not a university course.

Why it’s listed

This is a first-party Equipment operation. It has two printed branch addresses with phone numbers and store hours, an official WooCommerce catalog with on-page dollar prices and SKUs for hive kits, expansion kits, and smokers, and written terms covering shipping, pickup, and returns (updated 7/15/2025). A named family team runs it, and it manufactures its own woodenware. It is not a scraped directory card, not Amazon, and not an affiliate storefront.

The shop aims to fulfill online orders within 2 business days, and orders after 12 noon go out the next business day. Skid orders over 200 lb can take a week or more in peak season (January–June). Notes

• Category is Equipment. Beeline is a first-party beehive-woodenware manufacturer and gear shop with an official catalog URL and two branch contact blocks. It is not a honey-only apiary, not a Local club, and not a Learning pathway, even though it also sells classes and live bees in separate collections. It is distinct from the Equipment shops already listed (Dadant, Mann Lake, Betterbee, GloryBee, Foxhound, Acorn Pierco, Rossman, HillCo, Blue Sky Bee Supply). The catalog also resells some third-party brands. This listing is about the Beeline-built woodenware line.
• The hours conflict between pages. The Store Hours & Info and Contact pages show Michigan open Monday until 6 p.m. and closed Tuesday, while the Terms page lists Michigan pickup as Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–5 p.m. EDT. The Terms page also says Washington offers Saturday pickup by appointment and that its hours may change August–December. Both are quoted as printed. Call the branch before you travel.
• The About timeline also records a third branch near Pueblo, Colorado (opened 2013), whose manufacturing facility closed in 2023. It continues as a distributor and is not listed on the Store Hours page.
• The kit, smoker, and painted-kit prices and SKUs, out-of-stock flags, the Sept 15–Oct 15 overwintering promotion, the $150 free-shipping threshold, the 10% pickup discount, 2-business-day handling, 30-day returns and exclusions, the sales-tax states (Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Washington), and the 2003 / Greencastle / Bedford / 2012 timeline are transcribed from official beelinewoodenware.com pages checked on 2026-09-28 and may change.
• First-party logo saved beside this listing as beeline-woodenware.png (from the official beelinewoodenware.com header asset FINAL-new-logo-with-transparent-background-2.png on images.beelinewoodenware.com, unedited).
