What it is
Back Yard Beekeepers Association (BYBA) is a southwestern Connecticut hobby beekeeping club and 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. Its official home page describes an association with over 400 members and one of the nation’s largest regional clubs for beekeeping hobbyists, from beginners to multi-year keepers. Home and About copy state the purpose is to provide members with interesting and practical information about honey bees and the how-to’s of beekeeping, and to provide the public with educational programs about honey bees and the benefits of bees and beekeeping in communities.
