What it is

The 2027 Beekeeping School is a year-long beginning beekeeping course run by the Beekeepers Association of the Ozarks (BAO), a nonprofit founded in 1974 with more than 200 members across Greene and surrounding counties in southwest Missouri. The official class page calls it “the area’s only year-long beginning beekeeping school”: four classroom evenings at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, then eight hands-on field classes on the second Saturday of each month from March through October, with mentoring through the season. The $150 fee covers 12 classes, guidance on buying bees and equipment, access to mentors, one year of BAO membership and a Beekeeping Essentials Guide. The page names David Burns as a guest instructor. This listing is for the course, not the club’s monthly meetings or a supply store.
